    S.A.G.E. matches community members, aged 55 and better, with exciting volunteer opportunities within their local school districts – weekly positions, one-time events and specialized extracurricular activities. Through these educational collaborations, S.A.G.E helps to bridge the generation gap and which provides both seniors and students new perspectives, building cohesive and stronger communities.   2. Center in the Park – Germantown Friends School Mentoring Program
    Sharing is the keynote of our mentoring program with 6th grade students. Over an eight-month time period the students and Center in the Park members become partners through exchange of personal experiences, social history, family folklore and origins, blended with goals and ambitions.   3. Family & Community Service of Delaware County
    Second Time Around Parents is a psycho/educational support group for grandparents who are raising their grandchildren. Group meetings have speakers, emotional support, social activities and an advocate who helps with lobbying for better laws.

  4. Elder Service Partner Program at Messiah College Department of Human Development and Family Services
    The Elder Service Partner Program is an intergenerational service-learning experience for students enrolled in GERO 232 Sociology of Aging at Messiah College, a private college in Pennsylvania. Students are paired with an Elder Service Partner (ESP) in completing two types of service. First, students join their ESP in fulfilling obligations their ESPs have already made to their communities at food pantries, service organizations, etc. Second, students also conduct interviews with their ESPs in order to create a chapter of a life story, which is presented to their ESPs at our celebratory reception at the end of the semester.

  5. The Billerica Council on Aging
    During the program, the senior citizens and youngsters (most between 13 and 15 years old) compare the similarities and differences of growing up today versus the early- to mid-1900s.

  6. Connecting for Children & Families (CCF)
    intergenerational program aimed at improving student achievement in reading for students in grades K-5 who reside in one of Woonsocket's poorest neighborhoods. Targeting students at Coleman Elementary Schools, the Generations of Learning AmeriCorps Project will consist of four full time and four part time Corps members as well as 18 minimum time members during the summer, ages 18 - 55+, who will work both during the school day, as well as in CCF's after-school programs. Members will utilize the Wilson Fundamentals reading curriculum during the school day, and will teach enrichment classes in the after school program.

  7. Troy-Johnson Intergenerational Learning Korner, Inc.
    This is a shared site with adult day care and child day care. The program gives seniors and children the opportunity to build valuable bridges of friendship, acceptance, and respect. These golden bridges are nurtured through weekly scheduled activities while both adults and children reap the rewards of experiencing life together. Activities include exercise programs, arts and crafts, educational discussions, current events, games, modified sports, cards, movies, memory stimulation activities, field trips, music, spiritual time, and various special activities coordinated with community agencies.

  8. Lifetime Discoveries Childcare Center
    Offering an exciting alternative to traditional childcare, Lifetime Discoveries is an Intergenerational Daycare program housed as a full-commercial childcare center. A project of Piedmont Agency on Aging, Lifetime Discoveries is located within the same building as the Greenwood Senior Center. We provide structured, staff supervised activities for the children and seniors including art, gardening, exercise and music. Both children and adults truly benefit from this time together.   9. Community Care of Rutherford County
    Generations Connected is Community Care of Rutherford County’s on site Daycare and Preschool program. We offer services to the community at large, employee’s children and resident family members. Generations Connected fosters interactions between residents of CCRC and our children, developing a bond between generations.
