Program of Distinction Application
The application for Generations United’s Program of Distinction designation which serves as the U.S. benchmark (or “seal of approval”) for intergenerational programs and is based on the criteria that underpin the effectiveness of any intergenerational program.
The application allows agencies and programs of any size to assess the quality of their intergenerational initiatives and seek national recognition for outstanding work. The application can be used as a self-assessment tool to help program planners to develop new initiatives or identify areas that can be strengthened within their programs for better outcomes. The development of this designation was made possible with generous support from the New York Life Foundation.
