Manuel Gonzalez

Manuel Gonzalez is the Director of Parks and Recreation Manager with the City of Oceanside and has over 25 years of experience in the Parks and Recreation industry. He is active in regional and national drowning prevention efforts, initiatives to curve childhood obesity, and programs to advance literacy. Aquatics International recognized him as a member of the Power 25 and was recognized with a Community Lifesaver Award by the National Drowning Prevention Alliance. He has served in leadership positions with the California Parks and Recreation Society and the San Diego County Aquatics Council. He graduated from Princeton University with a BA in History and is currently finalizing his MBA at the University of San Diego where he serves as a leadership fellow.
