As a Technical Assistance Specialist for the Grandfamilies & Kinship Support Network, Kylee is responsible for supporting technical assistance requests, connecting system leaders to information and resources, and collaborating with subject matter experts. Kylee holds a master’s degree in social work and is a licensed social worker in Texas. She has over nine years of experience in Child Welfare, including six years working directly with kinship caregivers. In her previous role, Kylee helped create and implement a pilot kinship program at a Child Placing Agency in Texas to assist kinship caregivers in navigating foster care licensure, placement stability, and ongoing state subsidy. Her previous work in direct practice informs her passion for the ongoing need to increase services and support to kinship caregivers at a national level.
