Dr. Ed Greene is a prominent specialist in child development, early childhood education, and media contexts, passionately committed to establishing culturally relevant collaborations and strategies that benefit children and families in today’s digital world. He has previously served as the Vice President for Children, Youth, and Digital Media Literacy Initiatives at the Hispanic Information and Telecommunications Network (HITN). His diverse background includes key roles such as Director of Programs at the Center for Educational Programs (Milken Family Foundation), Senior Advisor for Cito in the Netherlands, promoting its U.S. pilot of the Piramide Approach to Early Learning, and Director of Global Outreach at Sesame Workshop. Ed has been an elected board member for several organizations, including the National Association for the Education of Young Children and the HighScope Educational Research Foundation, and he currently holds trustee roles with the Coalition for Quality Children’s Media and Young Audiences of New Jersey and Eastern Pennsylvania. He is actively engaged in a project funded by the National Science Foundation/AISL, focusing on developing children’s STEM stories that address climate risk preparedness. Originally from Inkster, Michigan, Ed earned his doctorate in Early Childhood, Elementary Education, and Child Psychology from Indiana State University, a Master’s in Child and Human Development from Pacific Oaks College, and a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education from DePauw University.
