Carson De Fries is a PhD student at the University of Denver’s Graduate School of Social Work. She received her MSW with a Concentration in Aging Services and Policy from the University of Denver and a BA in Psychology from the University of Kansas. After receiving her MSW degree, De Fries worked as the Intergenerational Program Coordinator at the University of Denver’s Knoebel Institute for Healthy Aging where she conducted community-based research on the impacts of intergenerational programs. Her research interests include evaluating best practices for the development and implementation of intergenerational programs, how they impact social isolation and ageism, and developing community-level interventions to grow social networks for older adults.
