The Intergenerational Impact Hub
🌍Advancing the Pact for the Future Through Intergenerational Action
At the 2024 UN Civil Society Conference in Nairobi, youth and civil society leaders committed to strengthening intergenerational partnerships as part of the PACT for the Future.
- Action 35: Promote intergenerational solidarity to foster inclusion across families, workplaces, and society.
- Action 36: Ensure meaningful youth participation in shaping policies and decision-making at national and global levels, including fostering intergenerational dialogues to build stronger partnerships between individuals of different age groups—connecting youth, older generations, and governments.
Building on this momentum, Together for the SDGs is mobilizing action for UN International Youth Day 2025. Through listening sessions, capacity-building, and advocacy, we are creating a global movement for intergenerational collaboration to accelerate the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). We aim to cultivate actionable solutions that empower youth, foster mentorship, and strengthen collaboration across generations.
🌍 Why Intergenerational Collaboration?
With less than 5 years to 2030, only 17% of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are on track according to SDGs Report 2024.
SDG 17 emphasizes partnerships for sustainable development. By bringing together the strengths of different generations, we create powerful, scalable, and impactful solutions.
“We need people of all ages, young and old alike, to join forces to build a better world for all.”
– António Guterres, UN Secretary-General
The Intergenerational Impact Hub provides a space to co-create solutions for intergenerational inclusion and collaboration towards #OurCommonFuture.

🌍 INVITATION: Join the Together for the SDGs Design Team!
Are you passionate about the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)? Do you want to help strengthen intergenerational collaboration in your community—and globally?
We’re inviting youth leaders and changemakers to join the Together for the SDGs Design Team for Phase 1: Understanding Local Contexts. This is your chance to shape a global movement through design thinking research that explores how intergenerational partnerships can accelerate progress toward the SDGs.
Why Design Thinking?
Design thinking is a creative, collaborative approach to problem-solving that centers the voices of those most affected. In this phase, youth researchers will engage their communities in listening sessions, empathy interviews, and local storytelling to uncover challenges and opportunities and co-create actionable solutions. Together, we’ll learn, reflect, and design pathways to strengthen partnerships between youth, older people, and other decision-makers.
No experience with design thinking? No problem—we’ll support you with training, tools, and peer collaboration.
